Faith That Works
Faith is the total belief in someone or confidence something would work without entertaining any contrary thought. Napoleon Hill in his book Think and Grow rich defined faith as VISUALIZATION OF, AND BELIEF IN ATTAINMENT OF DESIRE.
I have read and read about faith for months without much result, the topic or concept of faith had become almost complex and that’s why I am getting no result until I read the story about Abraham when God asked him to sacrifice his own son Gen 22: 1-14 in the second verse God commanded Abraham to go sacrifice his only son and Abraham didn’t question him and he just went ahead. At this point I asked myself I would have asked God series of question, I would have even reminded didn’t you said I was going to be a father of Nations but I realized that’s the problem you simply believe not argue immediately you begin then disbelief and doubt set in.Faith that works doesn’t argue but believe, it doesn’t doubt like Thomas but believe like the Centurion, faith that works is defined in Heb 11:1 ” Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Faith is simply a believe it is going to work, it doesn’t matter the circumstances or challenges, you just hold on there. A story that comes to mind is the story of Wright Brothers the young Americans that built the airplane, it is a story of faith, it didn’t matter to them how many times the flying machine they were building failed all they had in mind is it would work. Others more qualified, experienced people have tried but some gave up while others kept trying, these were boys with only high school education compared to some of the others who were engineers, their faith produced aircraft which is visible in our skyline today, it was faith that made them conquered, faith sees the result and not bordered by the challenges.
Faith in God is a very easy thing, you just focus on him cause immediately you shift your focus, you begin to feed uncertainty, doubt, and fear. Faith in our God’s given ability is doing what is required of you till you have the prize whatever happened in between should be seen as learning process.
